Welsh Dragon

This new lantern design was commissioned by an American client as a fitting gift for an exiled Welsh friend.

This panel was designed for an external door of some French clients who wanted to echo the spendid palm trees growing in their garden.

Commission a work and become the owner of a beautiful and unique object

There are two types of commissions - either a work made entirely to your specifications or a work based on a gallery model and modified according to your wishes.

How to commission a work

  • If possible, particularly if the work is going to be installed in a specific setting, we will visit the site and offer advice on the colours and other aspects of the project. We will also take precise measurements of the proposed aperture if appropriate.

  • We will make a few sketches of your project together with some specifications and estimated prices for your consideration*.

  • When you are entirely satisfied with the design and specifications we will provide a firm quotation** and an estimated delivery date.

  • We create a full size detailed cartoon of the work.

  • When we have your approval of the cartoon we start making the stained glass. We will normally request a deposit at this stage.

  • On the agreed date we will deliver, and, if appropriate, install the work. We will provide a Certificate of Authenticity and a special descriptive leaflet for your stained glass. Payment of the balance is normally due on delivery..

*We provide the first two sets of sketches free of charge. We reserve the right to make a charge for further sketches.

** Prices vary according to the complexity of the work and the size of the panel between approximately £40 and £300 per square foot.
